A driver's life!
NASCAR fans are privy to a lot of information concerning their drivers and teams. This sport has the most approachable athletes by far. Between interviews and press releases, us fans are spoiled rotten. We get attached to our drivers and absorb every bit of information about them when it's given out and that's cool. What really irks me is those fans that "go the extra mile". The ones that constantly drive a wedge in the driver/fan rapport by hassling drivers with none sense questions and autographs, almost like the paparazzi! you see them at the track fighting over position on who will get closer, run after the driver or simply stand in their path as they are walking from one place to another. These are not reporters, these are obsessed fans.
They start rumors and make them spread like wild fire. Remember when Michael Walltrip had his car accident and walked home after. If you are to believe some fans and some "reporters" Michael was drunk! No evidence of this of course, just rumors and speculations. Who has the right to do this? It's just plain wrong!
Now, we seem to have a rumor, although flatly shot down , that Dale Jr is to get married over the off season ! I mean really? Should we even care? The news didn't come from him, he didn't walk out and announce it. When and if he ever does, then maybe we should care and be happy for him. Why start this sort of "news", who starts this sort of non-sense? Are they really that hard up for "news" and "stardom"?
This a sport, not a soap opera, stick to the facts, report the story as it is and be happy about it, that's all!
Oh...Wait.....Hummmm....Did you hear the one about Tony Stewart being......? Or Kasey Khane might be....... ? Oh no no no ....It's Jimmie Johnson that's.....!
Stick to the facts people, we have enough news to talk about, this sport is wonderful let's not ruin it with stupidity, ok!?!?!
Stay tuned !
